Just Add Water! 8 Bath Cleansers That Will Gently Soothe Baby’s Delicate Skin

Bathing your little baby can be nerve-wracking. They are so delicate, which is why parents tend to take extra care during bath time, and that includes what baby wash to use.

Parents want a cleanser that protects and won’t irritate sensitive skin, as well as moisturizes. Bonus points for a bath wash that can help soothe baby for bedtime. A mother’s loving touch is gentle and calming to her baby, which is why when we select a bath wash for our little one we want it to feel just as soothing.

We’re sharing our PLN list of eight different shampoo and body washes that will leave your baby’s skin feeling kissably soft.

For the Small, Sensitive Type

When I had my son I gravitated toward baby washes that would be good for sensitive skin, mainly because I have sensitive skin and also I wanted something gentle for my baby boy. The first two brands that I tried were Live Clean Baby Soothing Relief Creamy Head to Toe Wash and Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo. Both of them have natural ingredients to help soothe your baby’s skin and alleviate irritation. I also love products from Burt’s Bees and wish I had tried their fragrance-free shampoo and wash when my children were babies. It was a brand I hadn’t been introduced to at the time but have used since. I like that their products are mild on the skin.

To Soothe and Protect

If your little one has dry skin and you are looking for a shampoo and body wash that will delicately moisturize, there are selections from Babo Botanicals, Puracy and The Honest Company that could do the trick. All of them contain natural ingredients, such as calendula oil, aloe vera, chamomile, coconut oil or oat milk, which will nourish your baby’s skin.

Bed-Ready Bubbles

What better way to help soothe your little one and have them drift off into a peaceful slumber than to use a calming baby wash? Aleva Naturals Sleep Easy Hair and Body Wash has gentle ingredients, such as aloe vera and grapefruit oil, as well as lavender and chamomile oils, known for their relaxing aromas, which will leave your baby feeling calm for a restful night’s sleep.
