Going Above and Beyond

AIR MILES

It is easy to get caught up with life. The never-ending to-do list, the activities, the appointments, holiday parties, work commitments, social commitments, it never seems to end.  That usually leaves a less than stellar version of myself that’s swamped, tired and exhausted beyond belief ready to tackle absolutely nothing when it all seemed due sometime last week.

I realized long ago that I can’t do everything on my own and when I find a brand that wants to help out, wants to help improve lives and make things that much easier, I run with open arms to them. Because life can get hard and I need all the help I can get. AIR MILES is that brand for me.

They are with me when I fill up at the gas station, when I do my grocery shopping and even when I grab the essentials for my dog. Everytime I swipe my Collector Card they are there helping me save towards my next family trip or something smaller like a trip to Starbucks. But they do so much more than care for me day-to-day, they also go above-and-beyond on so many occasions for all of their AIR MILES Collectors.

This holiday season AIR MILES has launched a pop-up shop at Shops of Don Mills in Toronto where they offer one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted products from local Canadian artisans, that they have sourced from all over Canada. What a great way to support the little guys, am I right?

How about this summer when AIR MILES allowed their Collectors to vote for a concert of their choice in small Canadian communities? Did you hear about that? Because Port Hawkesbury in Nova Scotia got a free Meghan Trainor concert and I am “All About That Bass!”. Sorry, I can’t help myself when I hear her name.

What about the time that they had The Arkells holding a concert in downtown Toronto while driving around a double-decker bus? Basically, AIR MILES looks at the box and thinks so far out of it, it may be in a whole new area code. They want their Collectors to really reap the rewards of being on their team and it is a great team to be on.

Last but certainly not least on this great list of AIR MILES Collectors perks is the Smile Booth which should maybe be renamed the Happy Tears Booth. Grab the tissues before you watch the video people and don’t tell me I didn’t warn you. Popping up around the country it’s essentially a vending machine just for AIR MILES collectors. You swipe your Collector Card, give them a smile, and smile again because there are prizes…great prizes! Gift cards, new Dyson vacuums, and even flights! I am still over here wiping away the tears of joy.
