When I was expecting my first born I was lucky enough to have a cousin lend me her glider and ottoman to use in the nursery. We ended up getting a lot of use out of it after having two little ones, so returning it was a bittersweet moment. Both my children loved being rocked in that chair and still sometimes say they miss it. Okay, maybe I miss it too!
Any sleep-deprived parent will tell you about the importance of having a comfortable glider in the nursery, and I can attest to that. From rocking with my little ones or sleeping in it sitting up, that chair was a place of comfort and rest for both me and my babies.
If borrowing from someone wasn’t an option and I had to choose a glider for our nursery I would have loved to have a chair that would easily become a regular fixture in our home; one that could have perhaps moved out of the nursery and into the master bedroom or the family room. And the chair that definitely would have made my wish list is the swivel reclining glider from Mon Bebe.
This chair features a smooth gliding motion and a rotating swivel function, as well as a thick padded seat and backrest for added comfort. One simple trigger release and the chair fully reclines, which could come in handy for those long nights of sleep training or with a crying, teething baby.
With its sleek, tailored look, modern design and neutral colours to choose from this chair could easily transition out of the nursery and into many other rooms in the home.
My choice would be to use it as the perfect chair to curl up and read in the solitude of my master bedroom for some much-needed quiet mommy time. What would you use the chair for after having it in the nursery? Comment below.
