How to Organize Your Kids’ Dishes and Avoid Sippy-Cup-Related Injuries

Written by Jessi McAlpine

Are you buried in bottles? Surrounded by sippy-cups? Is your kitchen packed with plates of the toddler variety? Yeah, me too.

It’s like a plastic tableware avalanche every time I open my cupboards. Are everyone’s cupboards like this? How do I get it under control? I decided it was time to get organized so I took to Pinterest for some ideas and decided to make my toddler his very own kids drawer in my kitchen. Then I got in touch with our friends at Solutions, because I thought, if anybody knows the answer to my problem here … it’s Solutions.

I cleared out my bottom drawer and used some handy drawer dividers to make a place for all of my toddler’s bowls, plates, cups, cutlery and water bottles. It feels so good to open my upper cabinet and not have to duck and cover if I want to get something out. But the best part is that my toddler can now get to his own stuff — so when he only wants to drink from the GREEN cup, I don’t have to search for it.

I imagine I’m not alone in my search for a solution to toddler dinnerware avalanches. If you’re ready to get yourself organized, I’ve pinned some of my favourite ideas for you guys so check them out and then head over to the Simply Organized Kitchen Sale at Solutions* for up to 35% off all the drawer dividers, shelf organizers and storage solutions you need to whip your cabinets and drawers into shape and avoid injury by falling sippy-cup.
