Not every good father is a good husband, but I strongly believe that every good husband is a good father.
In our society, a husband’s role is somewhat downplayed. Underestimated. And with that, so is the role of a father. It makes me sad that this is so because I know so many of us wives and mothers understand how vital these men are in our lives.
Here are a few of the awesome traits that I see in these good men we call husbands:
Loyal
Devoted
Trusting
Hard-working
Honest
Strong
Driven
Humble
Respectful
Courageous
And the most important and perhaps all-encompassing, trait of them all…
They love us.
It is spoken in their words and it is shown in their every action. They guard, protect, and defend us. We are so cherished.
And our children? They not only do the same for them but much more. They give them that security in knowing that mommy is being taken care of too. Good husbands teach their children to love unselfishly from those daily interactions that they see him have with their mother.
Let’s give them the appreciation and adoration that they so deserve on this their special day.
The Father’s Day season is upon us, and I feel that we need to stand. Stand up not only for our fathers but our husbands too. Let’s stand in cheering for these men. Let’s give them the appreciation and adoration that they so deserve on this their special day. Let’s shout their good. And let us speak in praise of the many efforts they make in supporting the family they love.
Happy Father’s Day honey.
